STERLING  SILVER
Hallmarked
CHESTER, 1922-23
PEPPER  or  SMALL SUGAR  SHAKERS
.
This is a fabulous pair of George V period
English Sterling Silver Shakers or Casters.
Either a Pair of Pepper Shakers or Small Size Sugar Shakers.
Perfect for Cinnamon- my favorite - or other spices !!!
Octagonal shaped.
Beautifully Engraved and Pierced Lids with Flame Finials.
Excellent Quality.
Both are marked on the bases with English Solid Sterling Silver Hallmarks for Chester, 1922.
Both Lids are also hallmarked Chester, 1923 (the lids are absolutely original and fit perfectly).
The marks are matching and correct.
The Maker's Mark is that of Stokes & Ireland Ltd. (William Henry Stokes and Arthur George Ireland).
Each shaker measures 4 1/2 inches (about 11.75 cm) in height (to the top of the finial).
Both lids fit tightly and securely. They will
not
fall off during use.
Both stand perfectly flat and straight on a table.
There are
no
monograms or initials whatsoever.
Good Thick Gauge Sterling Silver.
Together, they weigh 127.5 grams (4.09 troy oz).

There is some minor tarnish (they just need some light polishing) and some very minor wear from age and gentle use and handling (see photos).
The interiors could use some cleaning (see photos).
Otherwise, Both Casters are in Great
Condition
